Dataplex Help / FAQs
If you are told that your product key is already in use, it may be necessary to have your product key reset. To do so, you can use the Dataplex Product Key Reset Tool to reset it yourself, or send your product key and a request to have it reset to [email protected] and our support staff will reset it for you.
If you get a message that your product key is invalid, please make sure you are entering the product key exactly as it appears on your SSD. If any part of the key is entered differently from how it appears in your license letter or email, the Dataplex software will not install. The license key consists of 7 sets of 4 alphanumeric characters, like:
AAAA-BBBB-CCCC-DDDD-EEEE-FFFF-GGGG
If you enter your license key and are told that it is invalid or does not exist, there are a few things you can double check to make sure you are entering it correctly:
-
Make sure you are including the dashes between the sets of characters.
-
Sometimes, similar letters and numbers (such as I/1, O/0, Z/2, etc) can be confused for one another.
-
Occasionally, a printing error in the license key label can cause the top or bottom of a line of characters to be cut off, which can lead to characters looking like something else.
If you have entered the Product Key correctly but are still getting license errors, please email [email protected].
